X Factor star Fleur East has reportedly been dropped by Simon Cowell's Syco record label after three years.
East was the runner-up on the 2014 cycle of The X Factor, losing out to winner Ben Haenow, who has already been dropped by Syco.
Despite an exciting run on The X Factor, East's debut album Love, Sax and Flashbacks, which featured her single Sax, failed to ignite the charts, peaking at number 14 in the UK.
It has now been reported that the singer has "parted ways" with Cowell.
"Fleur had some great times with Syco but it was felt by both sides now was the time to go down different paths. She will always remain a friend of the label, because everyone's really fond of her," a source told MailOnline.
East is not planning to let her departure from Syco halt her career, with the 29-year-old planning to release new music in 2018.
"Fleur has plans to release new music in 2018. She has been recording new songs for some time now and is excited to share her music next year," another source said.
