Fists and other more unconventional weapons flew on Wednesday night's Fair City when Cathal's vendetta against Robbie led to a vicious showdown in a carpark.

***Warning! Spoiler Alert!***

Trouble has been brewing between local bad boy Cathal and Carol's hubbie Robbie over the past while as Cathal’s smear campaign against Carol intensifies and Robbie make good on his threats to put an end to it all.

The feuding pair have become involved in a new battlefront in Carrigstown with the return of Louie and Ingrid. The prodigal couple want to sell Vinos cafe to local businessman Paul Brennan and while Ingrid wants to make it a quick deal, Louie is intent on hanging around town so he can win his son Jack from his ex Carol.

Seeing his chance to get back at both Carol and Robbie, slithery Cathal offered Louie dirt on his ex, which he can use against Carol to get custody of Jack. But when Robbie got wind of Cathal’s plotting, he threatened to end him for good.

He attacked an unaware Cathal, threatening to kill him if he doesn’t back off his campaign against Carol, which leaves Cathal well rattled.

Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Pete found Charlie unconscious - Ama rushed to his aid as they called an ambulance. Mond shuts down Kerri-Ann’s advances leaving her feeling mortified. And Paul and Niamh tried to cover that they slept together from Callum and Ruth but Callum has his suspicions.
