Beyoncé is rumoured to be in talks to record the theme song for the next James Bond outing, which would be sure to go down a treat with her legions of fans.

The Lemonade superstar has reportedly held talks with Bond producers to gauge her interest in recording the theme song for the 25th James Bond film, which will see Daniel Craig reprising his role as the iconic titular spy.

A source told the Daily Star that Beyoncé spoke to Adele, who sang the previous Bond theme song for Skyfall.

Beyoncé has reportedly spoken to Adele about recording a Bond theme song

"The two spoke before Bey’s first meeting with film bosses and Adele told her how co-writing and performing a Bond theme gave her an amazing career hike. Not many of the themes have been as successful – but there are tens of millions of Beyoncé fans out there", the source said.

A studio executive for MGM also reportedly told the publication: "To tie-up a deal with Beyoncé for a theme song for Daniel’s fifth appearance as 007 would really be the icing on the cake."

In response to the report, a representative for Beyoncé told Billboard: "This is a rumour."

Earlier this month, Daniel Craig confirmed that he will return as Bond for one final film.

During an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show, Craig was met with rapturous applause as he replied "yes" when the US presenter asked if he will play the next Bond.

He said he believes the film will be his final time as the agent. "I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note and I can't wait," Craig said.

The next Bond outing is expected to hit cinemas in 2019.
