Madonna has released a picture on Instagram of her family celebrating her 59th birthday. It was her birthday three days ago and the celebrations were in Italy.
Her six children; Lourdes, 20, Rocco, 17, David, 11, Mercy, 11 and twins Stella and Esther, aged four, were with her in Lecce, Italy for the celebrations.
Madonna completed the adoption of twins Stella and Esther in Malawi earlier this year.
"I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family," she wrote on Instagram in February.
"I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time.
"Thank you also to my friends, family and my very large team for all your support and Love!"
Madonna previously adopted son David and daughter Mercy from Malawi in 2006 and 2009 respectively.
