EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami has joined the line-up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The actor, who has played heartthrob Kush in the soap since 2014, is the second celebrity to join the dancing competition joining The Saturdays singer Mollie King.

He said: "Having the opportunity to take part in this year's Strictly is such an honour.

"It's going to be exciting, challenging and terrifying all at once and I am so looking forward to stepping out of my comfort zone and learning to dance. See you under the glitterball!"

Mollie King was the first star to be announced for Strictly 2017

Ghadami follows in the footsteps of fellow EastEnders stars Jake Wood, Kellie Bright, Kara Tointon and Tameka Empson who have all previously taken to the Strictly dancefloor.

King, who was the first contestant to be announced for the new series of the show, said: "It's something that I always said I wanted to do. I've always watched it with my family and it looks so fun.

"I'm going to be giving it my all. I'm very competitive so watch out, other contestants."

King's Saturdays bandmate Frankie Bridge took part in the dancing contest in 2014.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One next month.
