Calling all aspiring actors, hit US TV show Into The Badlands is looking to cast thousands of extras for roles in the third series, which begins filming this September in Ireland.

MovieExtras.ie have just announced an open casting call to fill a huge number of roles for Into The Badlands including martial artists, gymnasts, dancers and physically fit/active adults for some "epic battle scenes".

There are also a number of speaking and featured parts up for grabs.

Into The Badlands, which tells the tale of a mighty warrior and a young boy searching for enlightenment in a ruthless territory controlled by feudal barons, stars Daniel Wu, Nick Frost, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, and Irish actors Orla Brady and Sarah Bolger.

To date the series has delivered the third highest-rated 1st season in U.S. cable TV history and has had an average of over 2 million viewers per episode. The show decamped to Ireland for season 2 and will commence filming season 3 this September.

All applicants must be over 18 years of age and available for filming in both Dublin and Wicklow over the next nine months.

Speaking about the casting call Derek Quinn, managing director of MoviesExtras.ie, said: "This is a great opportunity to work behind the scenes of a major production and to be part of a really popular US TV series.

"Also, a great way to get some extra cash for Christmas. Generally the pay for a day will be €100 (ranging from €83 to €130). You could be on set four or five times a month, so you could earn as much as €2,000 before the New Year."

Anyone interested should register their interest at www.MovieExtras.ie/Badlands asap as fittings begin next week.
