Linkin Park have re-entered the Irish album and singles charts following the death of the band's lead singer Chester Bennington last week.

The US band's hugely-successful 2000 debut album Hybrid Theory is No 4 in the new chart while their most recent album One More Light, released last May, is at No 6, and 2003's Meteora is at No 11.

Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight at No 19 and 2010's A Thousand Suns is at No 50. The band's hit song In The End is also new at No 30 in the singles chart.

The peak in album sales for the band follows the death of Bennington at the age of 41 on July 20.

Linkin Park, who made their Irish debut supporting Metallica in Dublin in 2003, were due to begin the US leg of their world tour this week.

Bennington, who had spoken over the years of his struggles with depression and alcohol, was a close friend of Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, who died in tragic circumstances in May.
