Twilight star Robert Pattinson has told US radio he is "kind of" engaged to singer FKA Twigs but that they try to keep their relationship out of the public eye because of obsessive fans.
The actor and musician have been a couple since 2014 and have long been the subject of engagement rumours.
When talk show host Howard Stern asked Pattinson if he and Twigs - real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett - are engaged, the 31-year-old replied laughing: "Yeah, kind of."
Pattinson, who was previously in a relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, said that while he tries to keep his life private, there are times when he would like to share more.
"It's one of the most frustrating things in the world," he explained. "Because you want to be able to do that [be more open], but it's literally like, to kind of get stuck in this position you have to make this decision whether you want to let the crazy people in."
On the subject of dealing with obsessive Twilight fans, Pattinson said there is "a crack group of crazies who think every single decision you're making is either creating some kind of conspiracy or...".
"So you kind of think, like, to protect it, 'I want to create a big boundary between it', [but] then it makes it difficult for your actual relationship."
