Just when everybody was applauding the choice of sensible names for Beyoncé and Jay Z's twins, it seems the couple have decided to opt for something more exotic for their new arrivals after all - and they've even made it official with a trademark.
A form sent to the US Trade Mark and Patent Office reveals that there has been an application for two names Rumi Carter and Sir Carter.
Unlike us mere mortals, the first place celebrities register the names of their children is in the trademark office and not the births, marriages and deaths office.
BGK Trademark Holdings, LLC is the company which Beyoncé used for her other previous trademark applications.

The trademark applications will allow the babies' entrepreneurial parents to sell fragrances, cosmetics, key rings, baby teething rings, buggies, mugs, water bottles, hair ribbons, playing cards, bags, sports balls, rattles and novelty items packaged in the names of twins Rumi and Sir Carter.
The move to trademark the names is perhaps because the couple delayed getting the trademark for Blue Ivy's name and they had difficulty creating merchandise in her name as a result.
The applications for a trademark can take many months to clear and can very easily be refused, so watch this space - perhaps there could yet be another name change.
