Aslan have paid tribute to their friend and keyboard player Patrick Fitzpatrick, who passed away on Wednesday after a battle with cancer. He was 60.
Paying tribute to the Belfast man on Facebook, the band said: "Pat played keyboards with us for over 20 years and was there with us on all the gigs and recordings that we did."
"He was not ours alone, he played with Something Happens, The Blades, Van Morrison and lots of other great bands but we liked to think of him as ours," they continued.

Patrick Fitzpatrick had performed with Aslan at the Cork Opera House less than two weeks ago.
Speaking to the Irish Sun, Aslan frontman Christy Dignam said Patrick Fitzpatrick's passing had "left a huge hole behind in our lives, both as a musician and a friend".
"It wasn't just music; Fitzy was a lovely human being. He played with such feeling," Dignam added.
Other artists have also been paying tribute on social media:
I was very sad to hear of the passing of Pat Fitzpatrick today. A master musician and an old friend. Rest In Peace.

Sorry to hear that piano player #patfitzpatrick passed away. Huge talent. We played on many great sessions and gigs with @rte_co. R.I.P.
