Actor Brad Pitt is seeking joint custody of his six children in his split from Angelina Jolie, new court filings have revealed.
The move follows Jolie’s request for full physical custody of all of the children - Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne - who are aged between eight and 15.
Last September, 41-year-old Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt (52) citing "irreconcilable differences".
Reports have suggested that Pitt is being investigated over an alleged incident with his eldest son Maddox on a plane in mid-September.
The actors, who married in 2014 after ten years together, have reached a temporary agreement so Pitt can visit his children while the welfare investigation continues.
Pitt's custody request was included in his response to Ms Jolie's divorce petition. He revealed that the pair separated on 15 September, one day after the alleged plane altercation.
