E! has stopped filming on the next season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians following Kim Kardashian West's robbery at gunpoint in Paris.

The reality TV star and business mogul was robbed of €8 million in jewellery by a masked gang at a luxury Paris residence on Sunday night (October 2) around 3am.

As Kim and her family try to recover from the traumatic incident, the network has decided to postpone production on the popular reality TV series.

A spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter: "Kim's well-being is our core focus right now.

"No decision has been made as to when production will resume."

After the incident, where Kardashian West was tied up and gagged by a gang of five thieves disguised as police officers, her representative said she was "badly shaken but physically unharmed".

None of the five suspects have yet been caught by either Paris police or Interpol.

The only member of the reality TV's family to address the robbery publicly has been her step-parent Caitlyn Jenner, who showed her support with an Instagram post.

She wrote alongside a picture of Kim: "Love my girl. After hearing the full story, I'm so thankful she's okay. It's a reminder for us all to be careful in the uncertainty of this world."

Kim's husband, rapper Kanye West, was alerted of the robbery during a concert and abruptly left the stage to be with his wife and family, telling the audience he had a "family emergency".

She reunited with West in New York following the robbery and was photographed without her multi-million dollar engagement ring.
