Big Week on the Farm 7.00pm RTÉ One
It's all going to get very rural on RTÉ this week. Big Week on the farm is a will be broadcasting live from a farm in County Westmeath at 7pm nightly on RTÉ One all this week. From a purpose-built studio on a sheep farm, in front of a live studio audience, and reporting also from other farms around the country, the show promised to bring viewers on a journey to the heart of farm life. Ella McSweeney and Áine Lawlor will be joined by celebrity guests such as Nathan Carter and Roz Purcell for one of the busiest weeks of the year for farmers and their animals.
Soap Choice of the Day: EastEnders, 8.00pm RTÉ One
Ben is disappointed when he discovers that Phil is not going to his support meeting. Meanwhile, with Kathy doing her best to help Phil, Ian frets that she is getting lured back into a relationship with him. Ian warns Phil to keep away from his mother. Also tonight, Tina wants to restore equilibrium with Sonia, taking part in the half-marathon so she can have an intimate talk with her. When Tina hurts her leg, Sonia is irritated that she must leave the race to help her.

Movie Choice of the Day: A Home at The End of The World, 9.30pm,TG 4
One of the Fareller's best performance's. This 2004 drama is based on the novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Cunningham and tells the story of two boyhood friends, Jonathan - who is gay - and Bobby, at large in New York and Cleveland. When Bobby and his girl-friend Clare have a baby together, the three move to a small house in upstate New York to rear "their" child together. Along with an eccentric friend, Alice, the four young adults create a new kind of family.

Shown on Saturday night last, this absorbing documentary elaborates the life of the esteemed writer who essentially wasted reserves of talent and gifts evident in the works of genius he produced, notably At Swim Two Birds and The Third Policeman. Guests include O'Brien's friend and biographer Anthony Cronin.
