TV movie based on the best-selling Deirdre Purcell novel of the same name. Colin Farrell made an early appearance in this unashamed romantic drama set in 1930s West Cork. 19-year-old Elizabeth has a fling with an actor and falls pregnant but due to the mores of the time, she is obliged to marry a dull middle-aged man. Starring Elizabeth Dermot Walsh, Liam Cunningham and Dermot Crowley.
