Le Galaxie, Villagers, Soak and The Academic have been confirmed to play at the Choice Music Prize ceremony in Dublin next Thursday.
The annual award for Irish album of the year award will be announced at Vicar Street on March 3 and the following acts are in the running for the €10,000 prize:
Girl Band for Holding Hands with Jamie; HamsandwicH for Stories From The Surface; Gavin James for Bitter Pill; Jape for This Chemical Sea; Le Galaxie for Le Club; Colm Mac Con Iomaire for And Now The Weather; Roisin Murphy for Hairless Toys; Soak for Before We Forgot How To Dream; Villagers for Darling Arithmetic; and Young Wonder for Birth.
HamsandwicH, Gavin James, Colm Mac Con Iomaire, All Tvvins, Daithi, Fight Like Apes, Otherkin and Pleasure Beach will also perform on the night.
The Choice Music Prize will be broadcast live on Today FM in a special four hour extended programme during the Paul McLoone show. RTÉ2 will broadcast a one-hour highlights programme of the Choice Music Prize on Saturday March 12 at 11.00pm.
