He may be one of the best known recording artists in the world, but that wasn't enough to grant Paul McCartney entry to rapper Tyga's Grammys after-party in Los Angeles.
The Beatles star was turned away at the door of the Argyle nightclub in Hollywood alongside actor Woody Harrelson, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and singer-songwriter Beck.
However, McCartney seemed to take the snub on the chin, joking to his friends: "How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit."
Twenty-six-year-old rapper Tyga took to Twitter to say he had nothing to do with the decision, saying McCartney is a "legend" and adding he had "no knowledge Sir Paul was there".
Why would I deny @PaulMcCartney stop it. He's a legend 🙏🏾

I don't control the door. I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there. I just performed and left.
