The first trailer for the highly anticipated Harry Potter prequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has finally been released and fans are welcomed back to the wizarding world.

Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne leads the cast as Newt Scamander, the magizoologist who goes on to pen the book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is used by Harry, Ron and Hermione in the Harry Potter series.

The all-new adventure was written by Potter author JK Rowling and is being directed by David Yates, the man at the helm of the last four Potter movies – it's even being filmed in the same Leavesden Studios.

Set well before the events in the original series, Fantastic Beasts is set in 1920s New York and follows Scamander as he travels with his magical case full of fantastic beasts.

Following an incident with a No-Maj, the American word for Muggle, Scamander finds himself in a spot of bother that could have a huge impact on the wizarding and Muggle worlds.

Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterston, Ron Perlman, Ezra Miller, Jon Voight and Dan Fogler are among the cast, and the film is set for release in November 2016.
