Not only has Adele become the first artist in US chart history to sell over a million downloads in a week, she can now lay claim to another accolade - a video narration by non other than David Attenborough.
The award winning broadcaster narrated the video to Hello in the style of one of his acclaimed wildlife documentaries with hilarious results.
A little reluctant at first, he asked "Really! Won't Adele be cross with me?" he then launched into the skit with gusto poking fun at its sepia tinted colour scheme and her use of a retro flip-phone. With over 207 million views of the video online so far its unlikely Adele will care!
The ballad meanwhile sold 1.11 million downloads in its first week of release to take the top spot on the US charts. Hello is only the 24th single in US chart history to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100.
Adele's song also broke the streaming record in the US with 20.4m on-demand streams.
Hello, which is currently at the top of the Irish singles charts, is taken from the singer's third album, 25. It will be released on November 20.
Adele is launching the new album with a TV special, Adele at the BBC, which will see her interviewed by Graham Norton and performing in front of a studio audience with her band.
