EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins has promised fans that there are huge twists ahead involving young killer Bobby Beale, with the storyline set to reach its climax during the festive season.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Bobby, played by Eliot Carrington, had killed his half-sister Lucy, and now the soap's producer has said the shocks will keep on coming.

"Bobby is definitely one to watch all the way to Christmas," Treadwell-Collins told journalists at an EastEnders press event.

"As we see he's a little bit of a little b******. There's a lot more to come with Bobby - and that story is going to reach its climax at Christmas."

Treadwell-Collins said that Sharon Mitchell, Phil Mitchell, Stacey Branning and Martin Fowler are also "the people to watch" in the weeks ahead.

There will be an hour-long EastEnders special at Halloween leading into the Christmas build-up.

"This episode kicks off a lot of big things," said Treadwell-Collins.

"Also, we build towards Christmas and Dean is still circling, and we're building towards the not-so-small secret of the Carters' New Year wedding."
