Jake Gyllenhaal has said he would love to star in a Broadway musical as it would be "a huge honour."

The Southpaw star featured in an off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors earlier this year and won rave reviews for his vocal ability, but he's not sure if he would play the same role of Seymour Krelborn again should it receive a Broadway revival.

Speaking to E! Online, the actor said, "I don't know about that show in particular... but I definitely would love to be doing a musical on Broadway in the near future. I would love that. It would be a huge honour.

"There are a lot of really good people who do it really well, so you gotta know you can do it well if you're going to do it."

Gyllenhaal made his Broadway debut in 2014 in a production of Constellations.
