Filming on the third season of the Sky Atlantic/Showtime psychological thriller series Penny Dreadful has begun in Dublin and Wicklow.
The third series sees Cork actress Sarah Greene return as Hecate Poole alongside co-stars Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Eva Green and Billie Piper.
Penny Dreadful tells the origin stories of literary characters such as Count Dracula and Dorian Gray, with Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr Henry Jekyll joining the line-up for the new season.
The nine episodes will air on Sky Atlantic and Showtime in 2016.
It has been estimated that the first season of Penny Dreadful alone was worth €33m to the Irish economy.
