Ronan Keating has revealed that he cried at his recent wedding to Storm Uechtritz as she was "so beautiful it was overwhelming."
The When You Say Nothing At All hitmaker and TV producer Uechtritz, who has changed her name on Twitter to Storm Keating, tied the knot earlier this month and Keating told HELLO! magazine that he was overcome with emotion when he saw his new bride walking down the aisle.
"I went to turn around but my lip was already trembling and I knew I couldn't turn without crumbling, so I waited until she was beside me," he said. "Then I turned to face her and she was so beautiful it was overwhelming. I couldn't help but cry.
"I have never been so emotional. I couldn't speak without my voice breaking. It was beautiful and perfect because we finally got to make the ultimate promise to each other and in front of all the people who not only love us as individuals, but love who we are as a couple."
Keating wasn't the only one in tears however with Uechtritz adding that she also got a bit emotional, "At first I wasn't nervous at all - I was ready and bursting with happiness. But when I saw the kids standing beside their dad smiling through tears, it broke me. That's when I started crying."
Keating, who has three children from his first marriage, added, "It was a perfect day. We always wanted the wedding party to be just us and the kids. It's so special for me that Storm would want the girls to be by her side. I'm so proud and honoured. It means the world to me. I feel so honoured to call Storm my wife officially. She is my best friend, my soulmate and now my wife too."
The 38-year-old singer and Uechtritz were joined by friends and family in Edinburgh for their big day with X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, Keating' former Boyzone bandmates Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy, and Westlife mate Brian McFadden, helping the couple to celebrate their special day.
Ed Sheeran serenaded the newly-weds and even belted out a few tunes with Ronan and his former bandmates afterwards.
Keating popped the question to his girlfriend of three years while holidaying in Thailand earlier this year, before proposing again in front of his three children - Jack, 16, Missy, 14 and Ali, 9.
Keating said, "I proposed twice and she said yes both times, thank God. Storm isn't just marrying me. There are four of us involved. Storm has an amazing relationship with the kids, which is very important."
The pair reportedly received €70,000 from HELLO! for an exclusive deal for their wedding photos.
