At the official launch of The X Factor 2015 in London, show boss Simon Cowell has said that he misses having former judge Louis Walsh alongside him, but that the talent competition needed a change.
Walsh departed the judging panel after 11 years, with BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw and singer Rita Ora joining Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in the new line-up.
"I do miss him," said Cowell, "but it was the right thing to do. We couldn't keep doing the same thing over and over because it was kind of getting a bit predictable with Louis."
He added: "He's fine. I speak to Louis all the time and he'll do something else. But Nick is doing an amazing job."
The new series begins on ITV and TV3 on August 29.
