New Girl star Zooey Deschanel has secretly married her fiancé Jacob Pechenik, and they are also celebrating the birth of their first child.
The New York Post's entertainment website Page Six says that the couple's daughter was born in Austin, Texas late last month but gave no details of when their wedding took place.
Deschanel revealed to US celebrity magazine People in January that she and Pechenik were engaged.
The actress and singer was previously married to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard. They wed in 2009 and separated in 2011. Their divorce was finalised in 2012.
