Caitlyn Jenner breaks Twitter record

Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, revealed herself to the world on the cover of the July issue of Vanity Fair on Monday, and has now broken a Twitter record by becoming the fastest person to reach one million followers.

Tweeting her thanks for the outpouring of support, Jenner said: "Another Jenner world record, and at 65? Who'da thought! Humbled and honored to have reached 1M followers in 4 hrs. Thank you for your support."

Jenner's family have taken to social media to voice their support, with stepdaughter Kim Kardashian sharing the magazine cover on Instagram with the caption: "Caitlyn Jenner for Vanity Fair... Annie Leibovitz! How beautiful! Be happy, be proud, live life YOUR way!"

Sister Khloe Kardashian also shared the picture, saying: "We were given this life because you were strong enough to live it! I couldn't be prouder!!! Caitlyn, You are beautiful!!!"

Kourtney Kardashian captioned her post: "Freedom! Stunning. #Caitlyn."

Jenner's model daughter Kendall posted a video of the cover shoot to her Instagram followers, saying simply: "Now that's a cover." She also tweeted: "Be free now pretty bird." 

Jenner's youngest daughter Kylie also shared the magazine cover with the caption: "My angel on earth! #caitlyn."
