El James' husband Niall Leonard has been enlisted to write the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leonard is replacing the previous Fifty Shades screenwriter Kelly Marcel for the newest instalment in the franchise.
Leonard is an author as well as being a screenwriter and has written for the TV shows Air Force One Is Down and Wire in the Blood as well as the Crusher book series.
The film's producer Michael De Luca said in a statement: "Niall is an outstanding writer in his own right, with multiple established credits, and we are lucky to have him join Team Fifty."
This is the latest creative change to be announced to the sequel to the Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson-starring blockbuster following news that director Sam Taylor-Johnson will not be returning after clashes with EL James on the set of the first movie.
The adaptation of the James's second novel, Fifty Shades Darker, is scheduled to be released in 2016.
