The song originally featured in the 1983 movie Monty Python's The Meaning of Life.
The Hawking cover has been released as a digital download from iTunes and will also be available as a limited edition 7" vinyl single for Record Store Day on April 18.
The video for the Hawking cover features behind-the-scenes footage of the five Python members during their run of live shows.
