Irish actress Victoria Smurfit is to divorce her media entrepreneur husband Doug Baxter.
Four years after moving to Los Angeles with their three young children, the couple have filed for divorce in California.
In a statement issued from their home in Los Angeles, Smurfit confirmed the divorce proceedings, adding that "we have always been a tight-knit family unit and we are both committed to maintaining that going forward.
"Our children are our highest priority, so to protect them we will not be discussing it further. Change is difficult enough."
The couple married in July 2000 in Surrey, and went on to have three children: Evie Dorothy (10), Ridley Belle (seven) and Flynn Alexander (six) before moving to the US.
Most recently, Smurfit played Lady Jayne in the NBC series Dracula opposite Jonathan Rhys-Meyers. The show lasted just one season but the 40-year-old is currently playing Cruella de Vil in the fourth season of US fantasy drama Once Upon a Time.
