Kevin Spacey was named Best Actor for House of Cards, with Viola Davis winning Best Actress for How to Get Away With Murder.
The stars of Downton Abbey won Best Drama Series Ensemble.
The award for Best Comedy Actor went to William H Macy for Shameless.
Mark Ruffalo won Best Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for The Normal Heart, with Frances McDormand win Best Actress for Olive Kitteridge.
