Nicolas Cage will play an ordinary American citizen who is determined to hunt down Osama Bin Laden in Army of One, a new comedy from the director of Borat.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is based on the true story of Colorado construction worker Gary Faulkner, who became determined to pursue the terrorist leader.
Directed by Larry Charles, Army of One tells the story of how Faulkner, who had health problems, attempted to enter Pakistan and Afghanistan several times to hunt down the al-Qaida leader.
Faulkner, who was nicknamed the 'Rocky Mountain Rambo', appeared on the David Letterman show in 2010 to discuss his plans to pursue the terrorist and his belief that he had been chosen by God for the mission.
On his return from his 11th failed mission to Pakistan, Faulkner told reporters: “What this is about is the American people and the world. We can’t let people like this scare us. We don’t get scared by people like this. We scare them. And that’s what this is about.”
