Joan Allen and William H. Macy are among the cast of the film adaptation of Emma Donoghue's novel Room, which has just begun shooting in Toronto with What Richard Did director Lenny Abrahamson.
The film is based of the award-winning book by Irish author Donoghue who also wrote the screenplay, and tells the story of five-year-old-Jack and his mother, who are imprisoned in a ten-by-foot room.
The film also stars Brie Larson (Short Term 12, The Spectacular Now), Jacob Tremblay (The Smurfs 2, Somnia), Sean Bridgers (Rectify), Tom McCamus (The Samaritan) and Megan Park (What If).
