Lauren Platt has said that she is frustrated by reports that she is romantically linked to Only the Young's Charlie George.
Explaining that their relationship is purely platonic, she said: "It's frustrating, because I personally feel like a girl and a boy can just be friends without things going on.
"It's just like me being friends with Fleur except Charlie's a boy, really."
Speaking to Digital Spy, she added: "A lot of my friends back home are boys so to me it doesn't really register in my head sometimes. To other people, obviously a lot of people aren't like that so I can understand why people would think there's something going on."
The X Factor hopeful added: "I just think for two of the youngest people in the house [they are both 17-years-old], we're handling it a lot more maturely than a lot of older people out in the world. Which is a bit ridiculous!"
