Mark Wahlberg has been cast in the lead role in The Six Billion Dollar Man, the new film based on the 1972 novel Cyborg by Martin Caidin.
The 43-year-old star will play the role of former astronaut Steve Austin, who requires bionic repairs to his body after suffering a near-fatal crash.
According to Deadline, Wahlberg will reunite with Lone Survivor director Peter Berg for the film, which he is also set to produce alongside Bob Weinstein.
