Accounts filed by the band’s 1D Media Ltd with Companies House in the UK show that the five members of the band each paid themselves a salary of £5.6 million.
One Direction’s income has more than doubled since 2012, when they earned £18 million. They were also named the third richest musicians under 30 by the Sunday Times earlier this month, with estimated earnings of £14 million each.
