Nicole Scherzinger is joining the West End production of Cats later this year.

The former X Factor judge will take on the lead role of Grizabella when the musical returns in December.

Andrew Lloyd Webber announced the news yesterday (September 28), writing: "Thrilled @NicoleScherzy will be our Grizabella when @CatsMusical pounces back into London in December! ALW,"

Scherzinger will star in the hit musical when it returns to London's Palladium Theatre for a 12-week run in December.
