Jo Brand is to present An Extra Slice, a BBC Two "sister show" to BBC One's Great British Bake Off.
Each week Brand will be joined by celebrity Bake Off fans to look at the best and worst from the latest episode, talk to the eliminated baker, and invite the studio audience to bring their own creations.
Brand said: "I am absolutely delighted to have been asked to be part of An Extra Slice.
"As someone who obviously loves cakes but also, keeps a very strict eye on my figure and exercises assiduously to keep healthy, I hope I am a worthy candidate to represent the Borough of Baking."
The new series of The Great British Bake Off will be screened on BBC One on Friday nights at 9:00pm, with the start date yet to be announced.
