Martin Scorsese's upcoming film Silence, which stars Liam Neeson and Andrew Garfield, is now scheduled for a November 2015 release.

Deadline has reported that the film will go into production later this month, and Paramount Pictures wants to have the project in cinemas late next year.

Silence is based on Shusaku Endo's 1996 novel of the same name and will also star Ken Watanabe and Girls' Adam Driver.

It tells the story of a Jesuit missionary sent to 17th century Japan.
