Stephen Bradley's Christina Noble biopic Noble was named runner-up in the category.
Frank Berry's I Used to Live Here won Best Irish First Feature.
The award went for Best International Feature went to Obvious Child with The Enemy Within in second place.
Still won Best International First Feature and Rhymes for Young Ghouls was the runner-up.
The Best Irish Feature Documentary award was shared by Blood Fruit and One Million Dubliners with A City Dreaming in second place.
Best International Feature Documentary went to The Breach with Brave Miss World in second place.
The award for Best Animation went to Fresh Cut Grass with a Special Mention for Marrying the Sea.
The award for Best Short Drama was won by Rockmount with a Special Mention for Boogaloo & Graham.
The Best First Short Animation Award was won by A Girl's Best Friend with Forgot receiving a Special Mention.
The award for Best Short Drama was won by The Swing with a Special Mention for Luke.
The Best Short Documentary award was shared by The Sisters and Inez – A Challenging Woman.
The Best Human Rights Feature award went to African Pride by RTÉ News journalist Laura Fletcher.
Producer AnneMarie Naughton won the Bingham Ray New Talent Award.
Actress Brenda Fricker and production company Brown Bag Films were honoured for their contributions to the Irish film industry.
