RTÉ 2fm made one lucky listener’s dream come true when the station gave away a brand new Volkswagen Golf live on air.
The four finalists for 2fm’s Scrappage Scheme with Volkswagen were live on Breakfast Republic with Jennifer Maguire, Bernard O’Shea and Keith Walsh yesterday morning.
In the final day of the competition, Conor Hillick from Derry; Elaine Grimes from Tipperary; Joanne Prenter from Dublin and Kevin Fitzpatrick from Portlaoise gathered in the hope of winning the brand new 2fm Volkswagen Golf.
They were also faced with the prospect of having their cars scrapped in Gannon’s City Recovery in Donabate, Co Dublin too so tensions ran high.
As always, there was only one winner and Lady luck shone on Conor Hillick but the runners up did not leave empty handed as Volkswagen and 2fm decided to give them the opportunity to save their cars from the scapper and also gave them €1,000 cash each. Nice.
