To celebrate the Volkswagen Golf's 40th birthday, RTÉ 2fm's Breakfast Republic (weekdays from 7am) is giving listeners the chance to win a brand new Golf throughout the first three weeks of June.
To enter Breakfast Republic's Scrappage Scheme with Volkswagen Golf, listeners must get in touch with their motoring stories - and be prepared to see their car scrapped.
Breakfast Republic presenters Bernard, Keith and Jen said: "We are absolutely massive fans of the new Volkswagen Golf and we're looking forward to sharing the listeners' motoring memories over the coming weeks; like the many times Keith travelled down to Wexford in the family VW Beetle, all seven of them packed in tight with the roof rack piled high!"
"To be giving away a brand new VW Golf makes us feel really happy and really jealous in equal measure!," they added.

During the three-week campaign the Breakfast Republic team will be broadcasting and interviewing from around the country in a Volkswagen Golf.
The 2fm Scrappage Scheme Final will take place on Friday June 20, when Breakfast Republic will broadcast live from Gannon's Scrapyard in Co Dublin with the four finalists and their cars.
One driver will be going home with a brand new Volkswagen, while the others will watch their cars being scrapped.
Paul O'Sullivan, Head of Marketing, Volkswagen, said: "We were looking for a really exciting way to mark the 40th anniversary of the Volkswagen Golf so we decided to team up with 2fm to celebrate motoring and give one deserving winner a brand new Volkswagen Golf. There's just one catch - you'll need to be prepared to put your car on the line!"
