Lily Allen has revealed that Rihanna is a big fan of her new album Sheezus.
The 29-year-old popstar cemented her return to the music scene, after a five-year-absence, earlier this year when Sheezus shot straight to the top of the charts.
Critics may have given it a luke-warm reception, but fans, including pop princess Rihanna, have heaped praise on Allen's latest offering.
Speaking to Paper magazine Allen said: "I sent Rihanna Sheezus a month ago. She loved it, thought it was hilarious. She said, ‘Maybe don’t send it to Gaga.’"
Allen also shared one of her pet hates: "I kind of hate having to explain my songs… they should be self-explanatory; they’re not meant to be grand statements.
"I’ve never thought, ‘I wanna write a song about the injustices that women face in the music industry."
