Mark Hamill has praised the new additions to the Star Wars Episode VII cast saying he was impressed by their extraordinary talent and feels the saga is in safe hands.
Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the original series, tweeted, "UK table read – I was knocked out by the diverse & extraordinarily talented new cast members. WOW they're good! The saga is in superb hands."

Hamill, and other original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fischer, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, will be joined by a host of new faces including our own Domhnall Gleeson, Girls' Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis and Daisy Ridley.
While it was a big week for casting news, Disney has teased that there is another female lead still to be cast.
Star Wars Episode VII will begin shooting in London soon and it is slated for release in December 2015.
