Elizabeth Banks has admitted she is nervous about directing the upcoming highly anticipated sequel to Pitch Perfect.
The 40-year-old actress, who produced and appeared in the original movie, is set to replace filmmaker Jason Moore for the follow-up.
Speaking to Extra, Banks revealed that she is very focused in her new role. She said: ""I'm taking on a lot more responsibility this time."
"I feel really privileged to just get in there and bring as much joyfulness and fun and great music as I can."
She added: "I think anybody would be crazy not to be nervous. It's really important to me. The film means a lot to me.
"It's something I've been with since the very beginning when it was a book that we made into a movie. Now we're making another one. I'm nervous, but excited more than anything."
Brittany Snow, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson have all signed on to return for the sequel.
Pitch Perfect 2 will be released in 2015.
