Irish actor Chris O’Dowd is set to make his Broadway debut next spring alongside James Franco in Of Mice and Men.
They will star in Anna D Shapiro’s production of the John Steinbeck classic, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Franco is set to play George, the friend and protector of simple minded Lennie who will be played by O’Dowd. The pair of itinerant workers are looking for opportunities during the depression.
The play will begin with previews in the Longacre Theatre on March 19.
O’Dowd has previously starred on stage in the Druid production of The Playboy of the Western World.
