Nashville rockers Kings of Leon told One Direction to confiscate all phones before partying with girls to prevent them from taking any photos.
The Sex On Fire hitmakers urged the lads to keep a box by the door for guests to store their phones.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, drummer Nathan Followill, said: ''If you're going to have a party in a hotel room, have a box at the door and take the girls' phones.''
Meanwhile frontman Caleb Followill encouraged the boy band - consisting of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - to stick at what they do best.
He said: ''Don't try to turn into a rock band or anything. You are already there and have your music and your fans, so don't try change what you are.''
