Matt Damon and Hayden Panettiere have been honoured at the 2013 Environmental Media Awards.
The stars were recognised for their ongoing work in trying to improve the planet at the ceremony with Damon named Ongoing Commitment Honoree for his work with water.org.
Panettiere received the Futures Award for her work with The Whaleman Foundation, a conservation group aiming to protect oceans and their inhabitants.
In her acceptance speech the Nashville star mocked Miley Cyrus saying, “Twerking is not going to solve global warming.”
