RTÉ 2fm presenter Colm Hayes will make his debut appearance on Fair City on RTÉ One tonight at 8:00pm.
Speaking to RTÉ TEN, the presenter explained how his cameo came about: "I think it's because I am one of the biggest Fair City fans on the entire planet!"
Hayes continued: "I love it, I've been following it for years - the entire family watches it. We've had loads of the actors on air on the show.
"They rang me and asked would I be interested in doing a piece on the show, so I said: 'Absolutely, I'll sit and just drink milk in McCoy's if I have to'. So then we came up with the idea that I'd actually act as Colm Hayes!"
Hayes gave us a little insight into his storyline: "Orla (Sorcha Furlong) rings the show to say McCoy's would be the perfect venue for the new Colm Hayes Singles Night, our new party night."
Tune into The Colm Hayes Show weekdays 11:00am to 1:00pm on RTÉ 2fm and watch Fair City tonight at 8:00pm (and Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday nights) on RTÉ One.
The real-life Colm Hayes Singles Night will take place next week on Thursday October 24 in the Limerick Strand Hotel. Ladies tickets are sold out but there are still some tickets for the boys for sale.
