Irish poet and playwright Seamus Heaney, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, has died. He was 74.

Heaney was born near Toomebridge, Northern Ireland, but as a child moved to Bellaghy in County Derry.
He won the 1995 Nobel Prize in Literature.
The acclaimed writer had been living in Dublin and suffering from ill health.
