Coronation Street star Alan Halsall and his wife Lucy-Jo Hudson have revealed they are expecting a baby girl.
Halsall, who plays fan favourite Tyrone Dobbs on the Street, announced the happy news, that he and his wife, actress Lucy-Jo Hudson, were expecting their first child last February via Twitter.
In an interview with this week’s Hello magazine, Hudson shared the news that they were having a girl. The former Wild at Heart and Corrie star said: "I always wanted a baby girl."
Halsall added: "The baby would have been named after a Manchester United player if he was a boy."
The pair divulged that former co-star Liz Dawn (Vera Duckworth) was one of the first people they shared their news with, along with Alma Tarmey, the widow of Dawn's on-screen husband Bill, who passed away in 2012.
