It has been reported that Sharon Osbourne’s return to the UK X Factor is set to be confirmed.
The People reports that the former judge, who left the show in 2007, has finalised contract details and is set to sign on the dotted line shortly. It further claims the deal she has negotiated is worth £2 million which would make her the highest-paid judge in the show’s history.
A source is quoted as saying "Sharon will be an X Factor judge and it is only a matter of days before the deal is finalised."
"She is being paid a hefty sum of £2 million as Cowell is desperate to have her on the show. She is also expecting to earn half a million more in book and publishing deals. There is no way she would turn down such a well-paid job."
